Globe imagery: NASA Visible Earth — Blue Marble: Topography and Bathymetry. Public domain. Colour reduced and relief map derived from the same image.
Country and state borders: Natural Earth, 1:50m Admin 0 Countries and 1:10m Admin 1 States and Provinces, simplified for the globe. Public domain.
Ranges, taxonomy, conservation status: GBIF — the Global Biodiversity Information Facility. Occurrence records are CC0 or CC BY according to each publishing dataset; the datasets behind each range are listed on its entry. Conservation categories are the IUCN Red List categories as republished by GBIF. A range is a density of georeferenced records aggregated to 2° cells, not an expert-drawn map. Records GBIF flags as captive or managed are left out. States are assigned by placing each sampled record inside the Natural Earth state borders.
